Kevin Durant has wrapped up the Paris Olympics in remarkable fashion, becoming the only player in history to win four gold medals in men’s basketball. After returning from injury to lead Team USA, Durant’s performance has fueled high expectations for the Phoenix Suns in the upcoming NBA season.

Amid this success, Durant’s time with the Golden State Warriors has come back into focus, especially through the words of his mother, Wanda Durant. Wanda recently boldly stated that if Team USA’s top scorer had stayed with the Warriors team, they could have dominated the league for years.

We would’ve had 20 rings by now. And it was about 10 years ago. That’s how cold they were,” Wanda said on the latest episode of TV One’s “Raising Fame.

Durant joined the Warriors in 2016 and quickly made an impact, leading the team to two consecutive championships in 2017 and 2018. However, after the 2018 season, Durant left Golden State and signed with the Brooklyn Nets. He departed after a difficult 2019 NBA Finals, where he suffered a ruptured Achilles while playing against the Toronto Raptors.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant’s Unmatched Dominance in Elimination Games

Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry have shared the court for three seasons with the Golden State Warriors. While Durant eventually moved on to other teams, Curry has remained a Warrior for his entire career. Recently, an intriguing statistic about these two legends came to light.

Curry and Durant have never lost an elimination game when playing together. This impressive record includes a 3-0 run with the Warriors and a 4-0 performance in the 2010 FIBA World Cup.

Their other flawless 3-0 showing came in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Durant and Curry consistently stepped up and delivered their best performance when the stakes were at their highest. The duo’s understanding obviously was crucial for the USA’s 17th gold medal win.

Fans’ Crazy Reactions to Stephen Curry’s New Bio

Stephen Curry was selected by the Warriors in 2009, starting his NBA career. Since then, the guard has been a loyal star for the team, leading them to win four NBA titles.

Nevertheless, his latest Instagram post created a significant buzz. Apart from changing his bio, Curry also posted photos of himself with James and Kevin Durant.

Some NBA fans also discovered a hint here. The Warriors guard has yet to sign a long-term contract extension with the Warriors. Hence, many of them believe that he might look for a new NBA team next season.

Nevertheless, some fans see it as just excitement for winning gold rather than a hint from Curry. As a loyal player of the Warriors, they don’t think Steph can switch teams when the Warriors need him most.

Curry will be next seen in action in the NBA 2024-25 season, starting on October 22. The Warriors will kickstart their campaign on the road at Portland on Wednesday, October 23. They will play their first home game at Chase Center on October 27, against the Los Angeles Clippers.
