Recently, Anthony Edwards claimed that Michael Jordan was the only player in his era with skill. Though for the claim he received a pile of backlashes from the former players, Arenas came forward in support of the Minnesota Timberwolves star. On a recent episode of the “Gil’s Arena” podcast, Arenas shared his thoughts on the discussion, agreeing with Edwards’ assessment of Jordan’s era.

Basically, all Jordan’s competition in that era did not even have the physical tools to keep up with him. So he was basically a Bugatti, and everybody else was a Honda Civic. All the shooting guards were 6’4 and under. They didn’t have no jumping ability, right?” Arenas said.

“So who he went against, he’s saying they weren’t talented, meaning they weren’t athletic to keep up with them today,” Arenas added.

Fans Slammed Gilbert Arenas For Bold Claim on Michael Jordan

Gilbert Arenas is no longer in the NBA, but his take on current and former players often brings his name back into the discussion.

Similar to Edwards, Arenas also faced criticism from fans. They argued that several other notable stars deserve to be included in the conversation alongside Jordan. Fans disagreed with the former NBA star’s perspective and voiced their opposition to Arenas’ views in the comments.

Arenas recently stirred controversy by claiming Devin Booker and Trae Young’s legacy over Stephen Curry. Before that, Arenas credited Kevin Durant with Curry’s legacy with the Golden State Warriors.

Hence, for his back-to-back controversial takes, fans believe Arenas used to share his viewpoint without considering much.

Seemingly, the dispute over Jordan’s legacy will never end. Let’s see who comes next, either in support of Arenas or in opposition to him.

However, Brown’s luck in the offseason didn’t suit him well, as he was not selected for the Team USA roster in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite this, the 2024 NBA champion, who was recently praised by Grant Hill, is enjoying his free time in the offseason. He was recently spotted with a Miami Heat star player at a party.

Bam Adebayo, the center for the Miami Heat, was recently spotted on the street outside a Club with Brown. Both stars were surrounded by several photographers and reporters. Brown and Adebayo greeted each other and took photos, as seen in a video uploaded by the NBA Central on X (formerly known as Twitter).

However, Brown and Adebayo’s meeting sparked excitement among the fans, who continue to speculate that both stars will play together on the same team in the future.

One fan said, “It’s time for Jaylen Brown to come home to Miami.”
