10 One Piece Devil Fruits That Can Beat Dracule Mihawk

There are many skilled swordsmen in One Piece, but none of them can stand up to Dracule Mihawk – who is considered the world’s strongest swordsman. Mihawk was a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and he wields Yoru – one of the Twelve Supreme Grade Blades. It is the black blade that gave Zoro his iconic scar. Mihawk has mastered every type of bladed weapon, and his strength is comparable to a Yonko’s. That being said, there are a few Devil Fruits that can beat him.

Paramecia-type Devil Fruits provide a wide variety of superhuman abilities, and most of the Devil Fruits that can beat Mihawk fall into this category. Logia-types typically give the user the ability to create and transform into some kind of element. There is one unusual Logia that can take Mihawk down. At least one Zoan-type Devil Fruit can beat him because the user can transform into a mythological creature with deadly powers.

10The Press-Press Fruit Can Completely Immobilize Mihawk

First Used In Episode 631, “Full of Enthusiasm – Corrida Colosseum”

Fujitora using his Devil Fruit to manipulate gravity in One Piece
Admiral Fujitora uses the Press-Press Fruit to pin Luffy to the ground in One Piece.
Fujitora uses the Press-Press Fruit's gravity to subdue targets in One Piece's Dressrosa Arc. Fujitora brings down a meteor on Zoro with the Press-Press Fruit in One Piece.

The Press-Press Fruit is just one of the weapons that the Marines have at their disposal. It is a Paramecia that gives its user the ability to create and manipulate gravitational forces, and it can be used on both living and non-living objects. The user can pick up a battleship and throw it like a toy, and they can significantly enhance the gravity of a specific area.

During battle, a Press-Press Fruit user can pin their opponent to the ground with extreme gravity. Even someone as strong as Mihawk may not be able to move if the gravity is too strong. If Mihawk is unable to move, he will be vulnerable to other attacks. The Press-Press User can manipulate more than one gravitational field at a time, which means that they can pull a meteor down from space and crash it into Mihawk while he is immobilized.

9The Hobby-Hobby Fruit Can Turn Mihawk Into An Obedient Toy

First Used In Episode 630, “Adventure! The Country Of Love And Passion, Dressrosa”

Sugar Turning Multiple People Into Toys With Her Devil Fruit In One Piece Sugar commands her toys with the Hobby-Hobby Fruit in One Piece. One Piece's Luffy faces off against the large toy soldiers created by Sugar's Hobby-Hobby Fruit. Sugar orders her toy soldiers to attack Usopp in One Piece's Dressrosa Arc.

Paramecia-Type Devil Fruit
Known User: Sugar

The Hobby-Hobby Fruit is one of the many Devil Fruits that appear in the Dressrosa Arc, and it was a key part of Doflamingo’s operation. When the user touches another person, they can transform that individual into a living toy, and they seemingly lose all of their physical strength in the process. Even Mihawk would be turned into a toy if the user touches him. That being said, this transformation can technically be reversed with Haki.

Mihawk’s Haki should be strong enough to reverse the transformation, but he will likely be unable to use his Haki if the user forms a contract in time. Once the contract is formed, the toy is forced to obey all of the user’s commands. The user can order him to not use Haki to undo the effects of the Hobby-Hobby Fruit, and they can then force Mihawk to fight on their behalf.

8The Paw-Paw Fruit Can Repel Mihawk & His Attacks

First Used In Episode 368, “Soundless Invasion!! The Mysterious Visitor: Kuma The Tyrant”

Known Users: Bartholomew Kuma & Seraph S-Bear

When someone eats the Paw-Paw Fruit, they gain a pair of paw pads on the palms of their hands. This feature may not sound impressive, but the Paw-Paw Fruit is actually one of the strongest Devil Fruits in One Piece. These paws have the power to repel anything – including immaterial things like fatigue, illness, and ghosts. If the user is fast enough, they can repel any physical or ranged attack.

Mihawk’s Haki infused sword attacks would never land, and his air blades would be just as ineffective. In terms of offense, the Paw-Paw Fruit user can hit Mihawk with powerful shockwaves by repelling air in his direction. If the user were to touch Mihawk, they can send the powerful swordsmen flying to a destination of their choice. This means that Mihawk can be sent straight into a cell in Impel Down.

7The Clear-Clear Fruit Should Be Able To Overcome Mihawk’s Eyesight

First Used In Episode 339, “One Phenomenon After Another! Disembarking At Thriller Bark”

An invisible Absalom is surprised during One Piece's Thriller Bark Arc. Absalom laughs in the rain while using the Clear-Clear Fruit's invisibility in One Piece. Shiryu Attacks Gecko Moria With The Clear-Clear Devil Fruit In One Piece Shiryu uses the Clear-Clear Fruit to stab Vice Admiral Garp in the One Piece manga.

Paramecia-Type Devil Fruit
Known Users: Absalom & Shiryu

The Clear-Clear Fruit is currently in the hands of the Blackbeard Pirates, and it has turned Shiryu into a deadly assassin. With this Devil Fruit, a person can turn their entire body invisible, and they can spread this invisibility onto other things by physically touching them. This Devil is great for spying and kidnapping, but it can also be used to launch surprise attacks during battle.

Mihawk possesses incredible eyesight and Observation Haki, but even his eyes cannot detect a Clear-Clear Fruit user unless the user is covered in some type of substance. He would have to rely on his other senses – which means that his reaction time would likely be slower. If a Clear-Clear Fruit user bides their time, they can land a fatal stab from behind while Mihawk is fighting someone else.

6The Rust-Rust Fruit Can Take Away Mihawk’s Greatest Strength

First Used In Episode 309, “Feelings Put Into Fists! Luffy’s Full-Power Gatling”

Marine captain Shu using his Rust-Rust Fruit to destroy one of Zoro's swords during the Ennies Lobby Buster Call in One Piece Captain Sgu destroys Zoro's Fruit with the Rust-Rust Fruit in One Piece. Paramecia-Type Devil Fruit
Known User: Marine Captain Shu

All of Mihawk’s strength comes from his swordsmanship, but there is a Devil Fruit that can make his swordsmanship useless. The Rust-Rust Fruit’s power belongs to the Marines, and it allows the user to rust metal until it breaks. They need to physically touch the metal object in order for it to rust. If the user goes up against a swordsman, they need to be a decent hand-to-hand fighter.

The Rust-Rust Fruit instantly destroyed Zoro’s Yubashiri – which was one of the world’s 50 Skillful Grade Blades. Mihawk’s Yoru may be one of the strongest blades in One Piecebut it would be destroyed by this Devil Fruit as well. Even if Mihawk uses other types of blades, a competent Rust-Rust Fruit user can keep destroying them.

5The Woods-Woods Fruit Can Drain All The Liquid Out Of Mihawk’s Body

First Used In Episode 1,079, “The Morning Comes! Luffy And The Others Rest!”

Logia-Type Devil Fruit
Known User: Admiral Ryokugyu

Unlike most Logia Devil Fruits, the Woods-Woods Fruit turns the user’s body into a solid substance – which means that Mihawk can cut through the user’s body. That being said, the user will not be harmed unless Mihawk imbues his sword with Haki. Like its name suggests, the Woods-Woods Fruit gives someone the ability to create, control, and transform into plants.

Even if Mihawk cuts the user’s body to pieces, their body will quickly regenerate as though nothing happened. The user can create roots and use them like tentacles. Mihawk can cut through these roots, but if one of them pierces his body in any way, it will drain all the moisture out of Mihawk’s body. If this happens, Mihawk will become a shriveled husk, and he will have no energy to continue fighting.

4Saturn’s Devil Fruit Can Overpower Mihawk With Supernatural Abilities

First Used In Manga Chapter 1,094, “Five Elders, Warrior God Of Science And Defense, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn”

The Five Elders will reveal their Devil Fruits during the Egghead Arc. Saint Saturn will be the first to do so, and it will be a terrifying sight. His Devil Fruit does not have an official name yet, but it gives him the ability to transform into a monstrous bull-spider. This Devil Fruit appears to grant rapid regeneration, which means that any injury Mihawk causes will simply heal. Even if Mihawk cuts off a limb, it will grow back, but it will take a bit longer.

The user can produce a corrosive substance from their legs, and they can shoot out venomous orbs. Mihawk will likely die if either of these substances touch him. This Devil Fruit apparently offers a form of telekinesis – which can be used to completely immobilize powerful individuals. If Mihawk can be affected by this telekinesis, he will not be able to defend himself, and the user can simply impale him with one of their legs.

3The Flower-Flower Fruit Can Disarm & Incapacitate Mihawk

First Used In Episode 67, “Deliver Princess Vivi! Luffy Pirates Depart”

Paramecia-Type Devil Fruit
Known User: Nico Robin

Contrary to its name, the Flower-Flower Fruit does not give its user flower-based abilities. The user actually has the power to replicate and sprout pieces of their own body on any other surface – whether it be a living or non-living thing. This Devil Fruit can take out a group of enemies in an instant, but it is also very effective in one-on-one fights.

If a Flower-Flower Fruit user sprouts arms on Mihawk’s wrists, they can easily disarm him. In certain situations, the sprouted limbs can prevent Mihawk from swinging Yoru by grabbing his arms. The most effective way to beat Mihawk would be to sprout multiple arms on his body. The user can either restrain Mihawk or incapacitate him by snapping the bones in his neck and back.

2The Op-Op Fruit Can Split Mihawk’s Body Apart

First Used In Episode 398, “Admiral Kizaru Moves! The Sabaody Archipelago In Chaos”

Law creates a sphere in his hand by activating the Op-Op Fruit in One Piece. Trafalgar D. Water Law uses the Op-Op Fruit altering objects within its sphere in One Piece. Paramecia-Type Devil Fruit
Known User: Trafalgar D. Water Law

The Op-Op Fruit is arguably the best Devil Fruit that a One Piece doctor can have, but it can also be very effective in combat. The user can manipulate the fabric of space within a designated spherical area that they create. The sphere can cover a small battlefield, but with enough training, the user can create a sphere that encompasses an entire island.

If Mihawk is caught inside the Op-Op Fruit’s sphere, his attacks may never land because the user can avoid them by teleporting away. If they wanted to, the user can teleport Yoru and the rest of Mihawk’s blades away. If the user has a sword, they can use the Op-Op Fruit to cut Mihawk into pieces with surgical precision. Mihawk would not die from this attack, but his body can be rearranged in such a way that he can no longer move or fight.

1The Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit Can Block Mihawk’s Slashes & Break His Body

Paramecia-Type Devil Fruit
Known User: Jozu

The Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit debuted during the Summit War at Marineford, and it is technically the only Devil Fruit that perfectly counters Mihawk. The user can turn any part of their body into diamond – which is arguably the hardest substance in One Piece. The diamond skin does impede the user’s movements, but an experienced user can still execute well-timed attacks.

During the war, Jozu used the Diamond-Diamond Fruit to block Mihawk’s strongest slash. The attack did not even scratch his body. Mihawk is at a natural disadvantage if he cannot cut his opponent in any way. If the user times their attacks carefully, they can slam their diamond-covered limbs into Mihawk. With enough force, the blow can break Mihawk’s bones and body, especially if multiple strikes connect.
