Love Island aired one of the most savage dumpings so far on Tuesday night, as one Islander was sent packing and it led to drama.

Samantha Kenny was brutally kicked off the show in the latest recoupling, hours after finding herself single after Joey Essex’s sad betrayal. While it was only early days in their show romance, Samantha was left in tears as Joey ditched her rather quickly when his ex Grace Jackson walked through the villa doors.

The pair sparked a backlash with viewers though over their treatment towards Sam, as Joey repeatedly snogged Grace away from the villa before kissing her in the main villa too, right in front of Sam. Islanders were reeling to see the pair getting pretty steamy in full view of the villa, not caring who was watching.

In the latest episode they headed to The Hideaway, with Joey planning a secret overnight stay there with no intention of telling Sam first, despite them still being coupled up. Viewers had already slammed Joey before the latest episode, accusing him of gaslighting Sam with him trying to blame her for him moving on so quickly.

He’d not even ended things with her before getting cosy with Grace, while also suggesting he and Sam were just friends. When Sam poured her heart out to Joey about why she was so upset, Joey accused her of pushing him away and didn’t seem to think he’d done anything wrong.

But it all came to a head on Tuesday night as the recoupling aired, and Grace and the other bombshells were allowed to pick first. It was no surprise that she picked Joey, and the former couple, who dated last year, seemed thrilled as they sat down.

Sam rolled her eyes at them, not liking what she heard. But when all the results came in, Sam was left single after everyone else had paired up. With that, she learned she had been dumped from the Island and would be leaving the show immediately.

Nicole had to read the news out aloud and broke down in tears, as all of the girls sobbed. Joey kept his head down with Grace also initially staying where she was before she too broke down in tears.

As the Islanders prepared to say goodbye in that moment, Sam headed off to the villa bedroom to pack her things. As Grace tried to talk to her she said: “No offence but I don’t wanna hear it.” Joey then tried to speak with her, but Samantha shut him down.

She said: “Save it mate, save it. Leave me with the girls. I don’t wanna hear it, it’s a load of s**t.” She then headed out of the villa, without saying goodbye to Joey or Grace or clearing the air.
