This Morning viewers are convinced that a show guest wasn’t impressed with her ‘Changing Rooms’ inspired home makeover on Thursday.

During the latest instalment, Linda Barker surprised one viewer at her home, revealing she would be undergoing a ‘front room facelift’. The guest revealed over why she applied: “We’ve lived here for two years, I had my grandchildren and children living with me. So we’ve never decorated, so I just need some inspiration.”

The guest then showed Linda, who hadn’t seen the room in question, her home and the sitting room. The space was a very large lounge with an equally spacious conservatory attached to the back of it. Linda kept giving updates throughout This Morning on the makeover, transforming the neutral space into natural botanical lounge with different areas.

Upon revealing the makeover, the guest declared: “Oh my God” to which Linda asked: “Do you like it?” there was then an awkward pause to which the guest replied: “Yes?” This prompted Linda to burst out laughing as she said: “She’s speechless!” to which she was met with more silence as she added: “She is speechless!”

The guest then added: “I can’t believe you did all this in that time, it’s amazing” to which Linda then described the room and what she had done while the guest was just seen looking around in the background at the room open mouthed.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to point out that the guest didn’t seem impressed with the makeover and that the silence was ‘awkward’. One person said: “She hates it #ThisMorning”, a different account put: “SHE HATES IT #thismorning”, another wrote: “I think she hates it #ThisMorning” while a different viewer said: “Nah, Natalie hates it #ThisMorning.”

Elsewhere, a different account put: “Each to their own, but i would wouldn’t be happy with that room..#thismorning”, a different fan said: “#ThisMorning She’s underwhelmed!!”, another put: “I’d be f**king speechless too #ThisMorning”, a different viewer commented: “Why is this so painfully awkwarddddddd #ThisMorning” while another added: “Feel sorry for the homeowner! #ThisMorning.”

This wasn’t the only makeover on the ITV show as Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Ed Davey, underwent a summer makeover. Davey, 58, appeared on the show to talk about the upcoming general election and Liberal Democrats’ plans before talk turned to the politician undergoing a makeover to get the ‘perfect summer outfit for the campaign trial’.
