But taking to social media, Nina revealed to fans she’s hosted her first News at One bulletin.

It comes after the show was moved to Manchester by Beeb bosses earlier this month.

Posting a behind-the-scenes snap to fans, Nina said: “The BBC’s One o’clock news has been a part of my life FOREVER.

“Breaking up the day in school holidays (well it *was* on before Neighbours), watching every day at University (“studying” politics away from the lecture hall 😬), on maternity leave, at home after an early shift …. It’s been one of those mental markers that punctuate the day for as long as I can remember.”

Visibly beaming in the snap, the mum-of-three added: “Today I presented it for the first time, it was Tracey’s first time on cameras, and Jack’s first week managing the studio floor….

“We are all very proud that this institution has come to Salford (the faces say it all!) and very grateful to our London colleagues for nurturing a brilliant programme and sharing it with us.”

Fans flooded Nina with support, with one writing: “Aw it was lovely to see you today presenting the one o’clock news, congrats.”

A second wrote: “Well done Nina, the most natural presenter on the tele box.”

“What a very pleasant surprise today. You were great – well you would be, you’re a natural,” said a third.

While a fourth commented: “Awesome. Well done.”

It was previously revealed how BBC Breakfast stars have been drafted in to host the refreshed News at One.

Sally Nugent has already anchored the bulletin, with Jon Kay also expected to host soon.

All three stars are fronting the show around their BBC Breakfast duties.
