Meghan Markle is determined to enter politics and dreams of becoming the President of the United States after leaving her ‘lowly’ position in the British Royal Family, but many mock her: “You can keep dreaming until you’re in the coffin, no one believes in that!”

It’s long been rumored that Meghan Markle is considering a career in politics.

But, according to one expert, the outspoken Duchess of Sussex is unlikely to appear at next week’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

The 42-year-old — who has been criticized by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump — is currently on a four-day tour of Colombia, but would “like” to be in the Windy City when the Democrat extravaganza kicks off on Monday, Harper’s Washington D.C. editor told Tatler.

“I haven’t heard any rumors. I’m sure she’d like to [be there], but her selling power has really gone pretty rock bottom here,” the political insider tartly declared.

“I don’t think she would have much effect,” he continued. “I doubt she’ll show up at the Convention.”

Cockburn then savagely shared his theory as to what Democrats think of the Duchess, saying: “I doubt they’d want her there.”

Markle and her husband Prince Harry, have not endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

However, Markle has previously been more outspoken about political issues than other members of the British royal family, sparking speculation she has her eye on the Oval Office.

President Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens, previously reportedly “endorsed” Markle as a woman she would back for the White House.

Meanwhile, Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell said of the Duchess: “Meghan has her eye on a bigger gain… I’ve always said she has had her eye on politics.”

Markle’s reported desire to dive into politics isn’t unheard of, as actors including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan tried their hand at politics in the past.

The bodybuilder, 76, served as the 38th governor of California from 2003 to 2011, and Reagan starred in several Tinseltown features in the 1930s before becoming the 40th US president.

Harry has also become more politically outspoken in recent years.

Earlier this week, the prince took a thinly veiled swipe at Elon Musk earlier this week, saying those “with positions of influence” should take more responsibility for stopping the spread of misinformation.

“What happens online within a matter of minutes transfers to the streets. People are acting on information that isn’t true,” he stated after far-right riots broke out across England earlier this month. “Social cohesion as we know it has completely broken down”.
