During BBC Breakfast, their fellow colleagues popped up on-screen to give a preview on what was coming up on Morning Live.

Gethin Jones and Gaby Roslin were the pairing on-screen as they gave viewers a menu of features.

This is when the former Blue Peter host started to speak about the recent wet weather.

He claimed: “After the wettest spring on record passed through the country, it’s set to be a damp summer.”

Gethin then explained how one expert would then appear on the programme to give viewers advice for protecting plants.

However, things took a somewhat awkward turn when he then decided to raise his voice.

The star fumed about the dreary outlook as he angrily asked the contributor: “What’s going on with the weather?! It’s absolutely awful!”

Gaby also couldn’t help but express her own feelings of woe at the rainy skies as she compared conditions to being like a “monsoon”.

The pair then couldn’t help but make a joke at the meterologists expense.

“Don’t blame Carol”, were the words expressed by both of the duo as Gethin then went back and forth on whether Carol Kirkwood, 62, was to blame for the damp climate.

BBC Radio London host Gaby, 59, chimed in once again as she chuckled, “It’s not Carol’s fault”.

When the screen eventually cut back to the BBC Breakfast set, Jon appeared to be somewhat perturbed by the comments from the Morning Live duo.

He angrily stated: “Don’t blame our Carol, or you’ll have us to deal with!”

Jon then continued to joke around with his colleagues, adding: “It’s our job to blame Carol, not yours!”

Sally also couldn’t help but chuckle along as she said: “She can’t actually fix the weather you know.”

The long-time presenter added: “Everyone thinks she can … she can’t.”
