Sofronio Vasquez Won ‘The Voice’ Season 26 and Fans Are Freaking Out About It
Michael Bublé’s singer blew everyone away to become the NBC series’ champion.
Alright, The Voice fans — let’s all stand up and give a round of applause for the season 26 winner, Sofronio Vasquez, and his incredible coach, Michael Bublé!
The two-part finale of the NBC series concluded on December 10, and viewers were eager to see who would clinch the top spot and claim the winning title. As Sofronio, Danny Joseph, Jeremy Beloate Shye and Sydney Sterlace sang their hearts out, the competition also extended to coaches Michael, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani who all had team members in the finale.
After Danny, Jeremy and Sydney were eliminated, Sofronio and Shye were left standing in the final two. In the end, Team Michael ended up being the winning team and Sofronio emerged victorious as the champion of The Voice season 26.
“And the WINNER of #TheVoice Season 26 is… 🎤🏆,” read the caption on Instagram before the reveal.
“AMERICA GOT IT RIGHT 👑,” one person exclaimed. “Yessir! Super proud of you my brotha! Well deserved! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾,” another wrote. “This was, by far, the best season of The Voice! So happy for Sofronio!” a different viewer added.
What’s more, Michael couldn’t help but praise both Sofronio and Shye, who was also on his team.
“I tried to have the greatest singers choose me and I promised them that if they chose me, I would be there for them, I would help guide them, I’d advocate for them and I’ve done that,” Michael told People. “My artists Shye and Sofronio have worked their butts off. They deserve it, they are incredibly talented and I think they’re stars in the making, with or without this show.”
