Scarlett Johansson gave her husband Colin Jost a very cheeky snub on his own show Saturday Night Live during this weekend’s episode.

The 74-year-old entertainment icon Martin Short was hosting the beloved sketch show for the fifth time – and was thus inducted into the Five-Timers Club.

In his opening sketch, he was welcomed into the coveted group by a dazzling group of A-list celebrities including Tom Hanks, Scarlett and Emma Stone.

Kristin Wiig, Jimmy Fallon and Tina Fey, who all used to be regular cast members of Saturday Night Live, were also part of the sketch, as was Melissa McCarthy.

So were John Mulaney, Paul Rudd and Alec Baldwin, rounding out a group of ultra-famous performers who have all hosted the show at least five times – often more.

The sketch was set in an elegant bar that was reserved for the top-flight clique – so much so that, in a cheeky touch, Scarlett had to slam the door on Colin.

When Scarlett burst cheerfully into the lounge, Colin could be seen trailing behind her, standing just outside the door wearing an expectant smile.

Leaving him under no illusion as to his position, Scarlett pushed the door right into his face – and after he wandered off, she pressed the door one last time to make sure it was shut completely.

All the stars in the Five-Timers Club were dressed in navy bathrobes advertising their membership in the group with a ‘5’ logo.

The one exception was Alec, the most prolific show in the half-century-old sketch show’s history, whose label read: ’17.’

Tom, who had created the idea of the Five-Timers Club on a 1990 episode of the program, opened the sketch by addressing the audience from an armchair.

He described the club as ‘an ingeniously lazy way to avoid writing a monologue. It has grown into one of the most exclusive clubs in our industry.’

Indeed the Five-Timers Club, and the lounge that they meet in, has appeared on several episodes of the show over the years as new members have been inducted.

When Martin Short’s time came this weekend, he was greeted by a touch of ribbing from his fellow comedy legends.

He described Tina as ‘one of the rarest things in Hollywood – a writer who’s attractive enough to be on camera,’ prompting her to fire back that he was ‘one of the least rare things in Hollywood – a loud man.’

Tom spared a mention for Martin’s longtime comedy collaborator Steve Martin, with whom he is currently starring on Only Murders In The Building.

The club apparently has a cocktail called a Marty-tini, which Tom explained was ‘often paired with our Steve Martini, but tonight, we are serving it solo.’

Alec poked fun at himself for how often he has hosted the program, saying: ‘I happen to be a very useful type for the show. They call me when they need someone to play a Republican because of my face, my voice and my strong daddy vibes.’

Kristin and Martin have a fraught encounter, with a taut strand of sizzling sexual tension obvious between them – even before she reveals they ‘took a hot yoga class together where we made love and got kicked out.’

She added: ‘And then we both voted for Trump,’ to which a horrified Martin exclaimed: ‘Don’t tell them that!’ only for Kristin to inform him that one of the perks of membership in the club was the ability to be ‘completely honest.’

The other members of the club let out a flood of confessions of their own, with Paul Rudd admitting: ‘Ant-Man’s powers aren’t good’ and Tina taking responsibility for the mysterious drones flying over New Jersey.

Tom, who was hospitalized with the coronavirus in March 2020 at the dawn of the lockdowns, said: ‘I never had Covid,’ while Scarlett shared: ‘I have Covid right now.’
