He beat out his fellow Bublé contestant Shye, Team Reba’s Danny Joseph, Team Snoop’s Jeremy Beloate and Team Gwen’s Sydney Sterlace.
Vasquez grew up in the Philippines and credits his father for instilling in him a love of singing. He moved to the United States in 2022 to pursue music after the death of his father.
During his blind audition of Rose Royce’s “I’m Goin’ Down,” he earned a four-chair turn and chose Bublé as his coach.
During the Dec. 2 episode, the Canadian crooner gave Vasquez encouraging feedback after his moving performance of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream.”

“I think if people understood the strength that you have and the fact that through all of this adversity, you walk out here on a night like tonight, when it probably matters more than anything has in your whole life career-wise,” he said. “You walk out here in the moment and you take the brass ring and I’m just so happy for you.”
Speaking to PEOPLE on Dec. 9, Vasquez told PEOPLE how he’d celebrate his experience on the show after the finale, win or lose.
“We’re just going to celebrate that this was a very, very good run for The Voice and we really felt that we are loved by the production and no one is superior… we are all loved. [It’s] in America’s hands for tomorrow,” he said.
