This Morning fans weren’t impressed by a presenter shake-up announced this week, with Dermot O’Leary set to be replaced in his usual role alongside Alison Hammond
This Morning fans have vowed to ‘switch off’ the ITV show and refuse to watch after a new presenting duo was announced.
On Thursday (June 13) Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were in front of the cameras – but they announced that the following day, Dermot O’Leary will be missing from the programme. Instead, his slot will be taken up by Josie Gibson, who will present alongside Alison Hammond for Friday’s show.
Plenty of fans weren’t happy about the news, and took to X to share their thoughts. One said: “Oh god, tomorrow’s going to be PAINFUL. Josie and Hammond pretending to be excited about the Euros. Will be as cringemaking as Monday’s #LooseWomen where they all had to ask questions pretending they’d been fixated on Soccer Aid.”
Another said: “Josie and Alison tomorrow? Thank f*** I’m working tomorrow.” As a third followed up: “Should have been Josie and Craig!”

Others, however, were delighted at the news – and can’t wait to see Josie on screen again. One penned: “The second #ThisMorning comes on and I see Cat & Ben… it goes straight off. Where are Alison, Dermot & Josie? I can’t work hearing the grating noise of Cat. Ben is fab but was better on GMB.”
Another user said: “Just me who likes Josie and Alison for tomorrow then? K cool!”
Elsewhere on Thursday’s episode, guest Jason Donovan was forced to remind Ben that he’s no longer presenting Good Morning Britain in a cheeky exchange. Ben brought up Jason’s missing cat, mentioning: “You reuniting with your little pussy cat!”The trio collapsed into giggles as Cat said: “He didn’t go the whole way!” before Jason said: “Ben, come on! Look, you’re not at GMB now! You’ve changed studios! He didn’t go the whole way.”

Things went from bad to worse as Ben got the name of Jason’s cat wrong, incorrectly calling her Pickle – when her real name is Pixie. Jason was quick to correct him, but the giggles kept coming.
