Despite the Milwaukee Bucks not clinching the NBA title last season, their star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, continues to shine brightly. His outstanding performance remains crucial to the Bucks’ success, reminding fans of his leadership during the team’s 2021 championship run, where he earned the Finals MVP.

However, not everyone sees Antetokounmpo as the top player in the Eastern Conference. Former NBA star Kevin Garnett recently expressed his opinion on a special episode of his show, KG Certified: TICKET & THE TRUTH.

Garnett boldly claimed that Antetokounmpo isn’t among the top three players in the East. The LeBron James’ admirer didn’t like the idea of taking the Bucks star over Jayson Tatum and Joel Embiid.

You can’t say that with Embiid and Tatum over there… He’s probably like the, What, fourth-best player in the East?” Garnett said.

Antetokounmpo’s performance last season was spectacular enough to draw attention. He averaged 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. Jayson Tatum averaged 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists. Joel Embiid, another player Garnett mentioned, posted averages of 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists.

NBA fans Slam Kevin Garnett For His Bold Take on Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s resume in the NBA is impressive enough to argue that he belongs among the top three players in the league. With two MVP awards and a Defensive Player of the Year title under his belt, his achievements speak volumes.

As soon as Garnett made his bold statement, basketball fans took to social media to voice their disapproval.

Given that Giannis is at the height of his career, fans were quick to draw comparisons between Garnett’s own career and Antetokounmpo’s accomplishments to highlight the Milwaukee Bucks star’s legacy.

While Tatum and Embiid had remarkable seasons, many fans believe that Antetokounmpo’s all-around contributions make a strong case for him being one of the league’s best.

And there was this, from Antonio Brown…

Who Is Malika Andrews’ Husband?

Dave McMenamin isn’t as popular as Malika Andrews, but he’s been around for a while.

He joined ESPN in 2009 and mainly covers the Los Angeles Lakers. The 41-year-old played college basketball in Ireland and was a student manager at Syracuse during Carmelo Anthony’s run to the national championship in 2003.

He is also the author of the New York Times best-seller, ‘Return of the King: LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Greatest Comeback in NBA History.’ ESPN colleague Brian Windhorst co-authored the book.

Meanwhile, Andrews hosts ‘NBA Today’ and ‘NBA Countdown’ at said network.

Their mutual love for basketball influenced their wedding date, 8.24.24, a day reserved to celebrate the late Kobe Bryant.

TPS would like to congratulate the newlyweds and wish them all the best.
